The Who may be snubbing the Pacific Northwest with their Quadrophenia tour that begins in November (the closest they get to us is Oakland, CA on Feb. 1), but that’s not stopping West Seattle Who-freaks from celebrating. There are four events, one for each album side, planned for this Sunday, Zeptember 16th:
- The West Seattle Car Show at The Junction (West Seattle’s business district centered at California Ave SW and SW Alaska St.) will feature the vintage Vespa and Lambretta Italian scooters “favoured” by mid-60′s British Mods. 8-4 pm.
- A scooter rally and “guided ride” then departs Hotwire Espresso (4410 California Ave SW) at 4pm and works it’s way toward…
- Live music (presumably Who covers) and dinner 5-7pm at the Skylark Cafe (3803 Delridge Way SW) with Cloud Person, Seas To Skylines, Day Laborers, and Petty Intellectuals.
- Then it’s up to the Feedback Lounge for cocktails and a screening of the 1979 British film Quadrophenia based on the Who’s album of 1973. (Movie starts at 8pm)
